2022 Ski-Doo Summit X VS. 2022 Lynx Boondocker DS
Thinking about your next snowmobile purchase? Look no further than the 2022 Ski-doo Summit X or 2022 Lynx Boondocker DS models.
There has been a lot of questions arising since the reveal of Lynx breaking into the North American market from over seas. Both of these sleds are designed for deep snow, snaking through trees and creating an effortless climb. Let's break down the commonalities and differences so you can make an educated and informed decision for your next outdoor adventure.
Let's talk power! Both the Lynx and Summit come factory with a Rotax 850 E-TEC engine that produces an impressive 165 horsepower. That's surely enough to take you up elevated hillsides and get you to that mountain chute you've had your eye on all day. Additionally these sleds feature shorter tunnels for maximum control and optimum maneuverability making those tight tree-lines a cake walk. Both sled models come with the innovative SHOT push-button start option as well.
The Summit X includes an upgrade to the first factory-built turbocharged 2-stroke engine; designed to conserve energy on the steepest slopes. The Lynx Boondocker has LFS front suspension with the rear suspension designed specifically for deep snow. It has a simple, lightweight construction and a low angle of attack that improves handling and performance. Although both of these snow machines look alike from afar, there isn't really much about them that is the same.
